Our Code of Conduct is intended as a guideline for the entire bartolome röder AG as well as its service providers and contractors (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Third-party contractor") on the other hand and therefore applies equally to everyone. Specifically, it is aimed at top management, executives and all our employees, suppliers and third-party contractors. On the one hand, it represents our own aspiration to live up to the values and principles set out therein and, at the same time, signals responsible behavior towards our business partners, customers and employees to the outside world.

It endeavors to conduct its business competently and on an ethical and moral basis and to compete fairly in all markets in which it operates. This includes complying with applicable laws and accepting antitrust prohibitions and restrictions on competition. We want to avoid gaining undue advantages over customers, suppliers or competitors.

Our third-party contractors share our values, procedures and conduct and also recognize the following regulations as binding for themselves.

1. team spirit, constructive cooperation

We constantly question existing solutions and develop new ideas for the benefit of our customers. To this end, we promote constructive teamwork among our employees. Their interests and requirements are decisive for our work and further development. We are successful in our cooperation thanks to the diversity of our employees and their commitment to the business areas.

2. standards of cooperation

We expect all our employees and third-party contractors to always act in accordance with the highest professional standards and guidelines of our company. If employees of third-party contractors violate existing guidelines, rules or regulations in the course of their work or through their conduct when carrying out activities for bartolome röder AG, they will be subject to disciplinary action.

3. open communication with third-party contractors and their employees

We do not cover up misconduct. If our third-party contractors report in good faith any actual or suspected misconduct on their part or on the part of their employees, neither we nor our third-party contractors will tolerate any attempts at intimidation or reprisals against these persons. We understand "in good faith" to mean that our third-party contractors or their employees are convinced that their statements are true. This applies regardless of whether or not a subsequent investigation confirms the version of the third-party contractor or their employees.

4. dialog with cooperation partners

All business information of our partners and their trade secrets are treated sensitively and confidentially as a matter of principle. Necessary documents are created and stored appropriately or, if necessary, destroyed after the end of the cooperation.

5. customer orientation

We and our third-party contractors behave fairly and honestly towards our customers and business partners. We record the wishes, needs and expectations of our customers and business partners in order to ensure targeted implementation in products, services or other processes. Our primary goal is to build a long-term and stable relationship with our customers and business partners based on trust.

6. data protection

We and our third-party contractors treat all personal data of our customers, business partners and employees with the utmost care. This includes names, addresses, telephone numbers and dates of birth or information about current health. The employees and other vicarious agents of our third-party contractors are obliged to take all measures to secure the data that are suitable to protect their IT system from both internal and external data theft. This applies in particular to the misuse of passwords and unauthorized downloading of files, especially inappropriate material from the Internet.

7. prohibition of discrimination

Any form of discrimination is prohibited as a matter of principle. Regardless of whether this relates to nationality, ethnicity, age and gender, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy or disability, or religion or ideology. Promotions and new appointments are always free of discrimination.

8. dealing with internal company information

We and our third-party contractors attach great importance to the careful and responsible handling of the products manufactured, the work equipment used and the company's intellectual property.

9. compliance with applicable law

We and our third-party contractors require our managers to familiarize themselves with the laws, regulations and rules that are relevant to their area of responsibility and to comply with them without exception. The managers of our third-party contractors in particular bear a high level of responsibility in fulfilling and passing on the Code of Conduct.

The business practices of our third-party contractors and their employees and other vicarious agents must also comply with the applicable laws. This applies in particular to the import, export and domestic trade in goods, technologies or services, but also to payment and capital transactions.

Violations of economic embargoes and trade, import and export control regulations must also be ruled out by our third-party contractors, as must terrorist financing.

10. obligation of company management and third-party contractors

bartolome röder AG undertakes to make the necessary efforts to live up to the principles and values described in this Code of Conduct and to ensure that our third-party contractors also comply with these principles and values.
